Level 3 Management / Team Supervisor
The Level 3 Team Supervisor is a management qualification that has been designed for both solicitors and non-solicitors who are aspiring to progress towards a management position or are currently in a team leader position and want to formalise their qualifications.
Level 3 Team Leader / Legal Aid Supervisor Dual Award
The Level 3 Legal Aid Supervisor dual award provides both the Legal Aid supervisor status and a Level 3 Team Leader Qualification that has been designed for solicitors in a legal aid firm seeking supervisor status or existing legal aid supervisors. What do you achieve?
Upon completion of this course, you will be accredited a level 3 diploma in Management and you will also be eligible to register as a recognised manager (ACMI) with the Chartered Management Institute (CMI).
This qualifications contains 12 months access to 8 online courses and knowledge quizzes. Along with 12 months telephone support.
If taken as a dual award with the Legal Aid Supervisor qualification candidates will also achieve Legal aid supervisor status upon completion of part 1 of this qualification.
The SRA require all solicitors to comply with the four domains of the SRA: (A) ethics, professionalism and judgement; (B) technical legal practice; (C) managing yourself and your work; (D) working with other people. This level 3 course is a great opportunity to gain CPD training in domains (C) and (D).

What is the cost?
Just £225 +VAT
The full cost of this qualification is the 5% contribution from your company totalling £225 +VAT. This is more cost effective than purchasing the Legal Aid Qualification course at £350 + VAT.
How is it funded?
The government has found that by 2024 the UK will need 2 million more qualified managers and as such the ESFA have set aside government funding in the form of the apprenticeship levy to train professionals in work to become qualified managers.
This funding is available to all law firms in England and Wales and as a registered provider Datalaw can take advantage of this funding on your firm’s behalf to subsidise the cost of this qualification.

Part 1. The Fundamentals of Supervision in Practice

If taken as a dual award including Legal Aid supervisor qualification then part 1 will also include a 90 min interactive session where all content will be specific to the sector.
Part 2. Enhancing the Professional Skills of An Effective Supervisor
- Operational Management
- Project Management
- Financial controls
- Communication and Decision-making
What is the process?
After completing this process for all 8 modules you will have completed a full portfolio of management evidence and will have an end-point assessment via a skype call where you will discuss your portfolio of evidence with an external assessor. After successful completion of this stage, you will be issued with a level 3 diploma in management and will be eligible to register with CMI.
