Apprenticeships
Law apprenticeships are fully funded by the government, so if you’re eligible, you won’t have to pay anything for your training or qualification. Employers cover the cost through the Apprenticeship Levy or co-investment schemes, meaning the route is completely free for learners.
Anyone aged 16 and over, living in England, not currently on another apprenticeship, and employed within an organisation. You don’t need prior experience, but you must meet the basic entry requirements (e.g. GCSEs or A-Levels depending on the level). For full eligibility criteria, see our register interest form.
Each apprenticeship leads to a nationally recognised qualification. For example, the conveyancing pathway is recognised by the Council for Licensed Conveyancers (CLC) and can lead to becoming a Licensed Conveyancer. Other routes, such as the SQE, CILEX, or Paralegal Apprenticeships, lead to professional qualifications aligned with each specific programme.
All Datalaw apprenticeships are delivered 100% online, combining monthly expert-led workshops with one-to-one coaching sessions. Learners access flexible e-learning resources, recorded sessions, and personal tutor support, making it ideal for balancing full-time work with study. Apprentices are also supported by a dedicated progress coach throughout the programme to help them stay on track.
The duration of our apprenticeships varies based on the programme level and your existing qualifications. Most are completed in as little as 13 months, with others taking up to three years. The flexible structure allows learners to grow their skills while staying in full-time employment, and because apprentices continue to earn a salary throughout, gaining a qualification won’t impact their income.
Accreditations
A legal accreditation is a formal recognition that an individual or organisation meets specific professional standards in a given area of law. It boosts credibility, demonstrates expertise, and in many cases, is a requirement for practicing in specialist legal areas such as criminal defence or conveyancing.
Our accreditations are designed for a wide range of professionals, from non-qualified practitioners looking to begin their legal careers, to fully qualified solicitors aiming to expand their scope of practice. We also support law firms seeking to meet regulatory standards or expand service offerings.
Yes. All our accreditation pathways align with regulatory standards and are approved by relevant bodies including the Solicitors Regulation Authority (SRA) and the Council for Licensed Conveyancers (CLC). Our accreditations meet the requirements for joining legal aid duty rotas and specialist panels.
