Make a Data Protection Complaint

If you think we have not handled your personal information properly, for example in response to a request you made, in our marketing, or in how we store or share your information, you have the right to complain to us directly, and we want to hear about it.

The easiest way to complain is to use the form below.

Make a Complaint

We use the information you give on this form only to investigate and respond to your complaint. It is sent securely to our Data Protection Officer and handled in line with our Privacy Policy and Complaints Handling Procedure. Complaint records are kept for three years after closure, then deleted.

You can also email us at dpo@datalaw.org, call 0151 236 2024, or write to: Data Protection Officer, Datalaw Ltd, 3A Bridgewater Street, Liverpool, L1 0AR.

What happens next:

  • We will acknowledge your complaint within 30 days
  • Our Data Protection Officer will investigate. We may contact you if we need more detail or need to confirm your identity
  • We will keep you informed of progress and tell you the outcome and any action we have taken. We aim to resolve most complaints within 30 days; complex complaints can take longer, and we will tell you if so

You also have the right to complain to the Information Commissioner’s Office (ICO) at any time – you do not have to complain to us first, although we would welcome the chance to put things right. Visit ico.org.uk/make-a-complaint or call 0303 123 1113.
