Level 3 Law Apprenticeships Case Study

Grace Roberts, a successful learner on our Level 3 Law Apprenticeships programme, shared her experience for those considering a future in the legal profession.

After leaving school, Grace decided that university wasn’t the right route for her. Instead, she chose a Level 3 Law Apprenticeship, allowing her to gain essential legal knowledge while working within a real law firm environment. The combination of structured study and hands-on experience helped her grow in confidence and develop practical skills she now applies every day. Grace believes the apprenticeship provided a clear, supported pathway into law and encourages others to consider this alternative to traditional academic study.

How Level 3 Law Apprenticeships Benefit Employers

Our Level 3 Law Apprenticeships offer a cost-effective route for law firms, particularly small and mid-sized practices, to develop in-house talent through government-funded training. Funding of up to £11,000 is available for training, with co-funded employers contributing no more than £550, while levy-paying employers can use their existing levy funds.

The programme enables both new recruits and existing support staff to achieve a recognised legal qualification while continuing to contribute to day-to-day operations. Apprentices develop knowledge aligned to your firm’s services, ensuring immediate practical value. As their skills and confidence grow, they progress into capable Grade D fee-earners, enhancing productivity, client service, and the long-term strength of your practice.
